Jim is the co-founder and wealth services partner of WillowTrust Accounting. Realizing that many individuals want and need a coordinated tax and wealth strategy, Jim sought to create a comprehensive team at WillowTrust Accounting. Jim provides wealth strategies to enhance the tax reduction needs of the physicians, business owners and individual clients of WillowTrust Accounting.
Jim is also the President & Founder of Nowak Wealth Management Group, a wealth management firm specializing in helping people that are facing life transitions – business owners facing transitions, families transitioning into retirement and through retirement, and women transitioning after the loss of a spouse or divorce. Jim has over 19 years of investment and wealth experience. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation, is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, and continues his lifelong learning through additional designations and licenses.
Jim lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife Krystal and their four young children; Colgan, Hadley, Harper and Declan. He is heavily involved in his children’s sports and hobbies and has a love for swimming, triathlon, and the outdoors.

Trisha is the co-founder and partner of tax and accounting at WillowTrust Accounting. With over ten years of industry experience in public accounting working with physicians and self-employed individuals, she provides a variety of tax services including income tax planning, tax return preparation for individuals and small businesses, as well as bookkeeping and payroll services.
Prior to co-founding WillowTrust Accounting, Trisha worked as an accountant for James A Lucas and Company, a local firm and spent eight years at RSM US LLP, a large international firm. Trisha prides herself on building strong client relationships and getting to know each client and their current needs as well as their long-term goals. Working closely with her clients, she provides income tax planning that can help prepare them for financial changes in their lives.
Trisha lives in Wake Forest with her husband, Barrett, and their two beautiful children, Sienna and Reid. Trisha has a passion for community service and in her spare time, enjoys volunteering with her church and serving as an advocate for new mothers struggling with the transition of motherhood. She also serves as Treasurer for the NC Chapter of Postpartum Support International.
